My novels are published under the author names Bente Amlandt and Lu C. Ohm.
As a writer and illustrator, I am based in Northern Germany. Often it is my imagination that guides the pen, yet for my historical novels I also enjoy thorough research.
Since 2021, I have published my works as an independent author (through BoD, Tredition, and KDP Amazon). Currently, I am planning new editions of most titles previously withdrawn from distribution, with the aim of starting afresh.

The Rodiwana-Saga
A low‑fantasy saga set in the utopian world of Rodiwana, written between 2013–2025 and illustrated by the author. The saga consists of three cycles — The Fjordt Family, Lando, and Moya. So far, only the first half of the Lando cycle has been published. A new edition with the complete saga is forthcoming. (German)

Vita:
Living in the Sense of Possibility
Born in 1972 in northern Germany, I have drawn and painted every day since childhood; books and being outdoors have been my most important sources of inspiration. I later studied Art, German Studies and Romance Studies in Kiel and have worked both literarily and artistically during my studies, exhibiting my paintings in several shows.
I subsequently taught in northern Germany and in South America. From 2009 to 2011 I worked at a Mennonite school in Asunción (Paraguay). Travels through South America and encounters with the Guaraní have shaped my later novel series Rodiwana. In 2010 I survived the earthquake in Santiago de Chile. In 2015, for health reasons, I had to leave the teaching profession and turned to writing.
From 2019 to 2025 I worked as a writer and artist in the Hanseatic city of Wismar. In 2021 I published the illustrated Rodiwana series, followed by mystery, science‑fiction and thriller novels under the names Bente Amlandt and Lu C. Ohm. In 2024 I presented my work in the “Atelier Rodiwana” and at the Leipzig Book Fair.
Through my curatorial work for the artist Franksy Zabel I have become increasingly active as a visual artist. Numerous illustrations and large‑format paintings have emerged: drawings for the Rodiwana series and dreamscapes with natural motifs and symbolic elements. In 2025 I moved to Schleswig‑Holstein. Since 2026 new editions of my novels have been published. I am currently working on a Nordic‑inspired young‑adult trilogy.
